Council For Australian-Arab Relations’ (CAAR) Young Professionals Exchange Program
In 2004-5, the Australian Agency was appointed by the Council for Australian-Arab Relations (CAAR) to manage and run the Inaugural
CAAR Young Professional Exchange Program.
Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) Internship Program
AAET hosts the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) Internship Program. In this program, students from the School of Commerce and Economics at SQU have the opportunity to conduct an internship period in an Australian institution appropriate to their study major.
Advanced Experience Professional Award Program
The Advanced Experience Professional Award is a non-formal study award designed to give a non-formal study experience in Australia.
Sur University College, Oman
AAET’s direct involvement in Sur University College has resulted in the development of degrees which are fully accredited by partner Australian Universities.
Educational/Scholarship Exhibitions & Road Shows
AAET is responsible for broad representation of Australian and New Zealand Universities in a variety of Middle Eastern scholarship exhibitions and educational
trade fairs. AAET also holds exclusive scholarship exhibitions for select group of universities. We successfully use this opportunity to introduce students and
scholarship providers to Australian tertiary institutes.
Hawthorn English Language Centre, Oman
AAET’s project and consulting work led to the establishment of Hawthorn English Language Center, Muscat.
Memoranda Of Understanding
AAET is responsible for a number of Memoranda of Understanding being forged between Australian universities and institutions and partner organizations in the
Arab Region, with view of the promotion and advancement of Australian Education and the exchange of knowledge and expertise.
Training Programs, UAE Armed Forces
AAET instigated the delivery of a number of specialist training programs to the various bodies of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates.
MoU: Victorian Department Of Education
Pursuant to a Memorandum of Understanding signed between AAET and the Victorian Department of Education, the Australian Agency was given the mandate to further the international affiliations of the Department through projects and partnerships in the Arab Region.
World Bank Project, Lebanon
AAET was responsible for bringing a World Bank project to the Ministry of Education, Lebanon, and involved in the first phase of its implementation.
Additionally, AAET works in close partnership with leading experts in providing education consultancy solutions to the Arab Region. One such consultancy
resulted in an Accreditation Framework being developed for the Omani Government, which led to a program of quality assurance for Omani tertiary institutions.
Another project involved introducing and implementing the model of the Victorian Schools Curriculum to overseas schools.
